About the event
The program will feature J.S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 and Gabriella Smith’s Brandenburg Interstices. The afternoon will also introduce audiences to one of the season’s most significant projects: GCO’s rediscovery and celebration of the music of Clarence Cameron White, the Clarksville-born violinist and composer whose work blended classical traditions with the musical heritage of Black folk music. Born in Clarksville in 1880, White became one of America’s leading violinists and composers.
