Tim Pearson performs regularly with the Nashville Symphony, Kansas City Symphony, IRIS Orchestra and the Gateway Chamber Orchestra. With Gateway he can be heard on the Summit record label playing music of Strauss, Mozart, Schrecker, Schoenberg and Enescu. As a soloist he premiered Spanish composer Jesus Santandreu’s “Iberian Concerto for Double Bass and Wind Ensemble” and Nashville composer Christopher Farrell’s “Sonata for Double Bass and Piano.” In addition to performing he maintains a private studio, serves on the faculty of the Sewanee Summer Music Festival and has held positions at The University of Evansville, Belmont University and Middle Tennessee State University. He holds degrees from the University of Memphis and Indiana University and did additional studies with Bruce Bransby and Paul Ellison. Tim resides in Nashville with his wife, pianist Megan Gale.
